Undying-

The realms of civilization and the wilds have been locked in a constant struggle for dominance ever since the first human learned to make tools to build. For centuries the wilds have been steadily loosing, ever since the vampires switched sides in an unprecedented move making the subtle war into an open one. Yet lately the Wilds have been striking back in force, leaving the current general and his Shadow in charge of uncovering their secrets.

Characters

Kiteran (Kite)
A vampire price who has earned his place as general of their military forces, Kite is a straightforward man with little patience for drama. Politics do not interest him, yet he ends up getting entangled in them and relies on his Shadow to help him through the rough tangled mess that is high society.

Gemire (Gem)
Born nearly a peasant in society, Gem was only allowed entrance into the arcane Shadow arts for his display of bravery and willingness to die for a noble, namely his childhood friend Kite. Built like a mountain with a broad sense of humor he is more then just a bodyguard for his old friend, he is a pillar of support and sanity.

Levieus
Upright and proper, Levieus is cool and calculating in all he does, earning him high honors as a military tactician. Like most nobles, he enjoys playing the power game and coveting the things deemed out of their reach, like the position of General, as well as Gem.

Archeaus
This being of magic is older then time and takes form as a dragon. She bears no ties or loyalties, but serves to aid the Wilds on a whim.

Dredaia
A shrewd but beautiful woman after Kites hand so that she may one day seek a council position. Historically during wartime, scholars are never appointed over soldiers, a fact that has embittered her since a rare opportunity is soon coming, since one of the members plans on retiring.

Omniel
Taunt with a voice like steel, he is both the head of the council and Kite's father. Bearing second generation blood he is highly honored and respected, although some question the purity of his line continuing as his son has yet to be bound.
