Dragon Wing is the story of an existence far different then our own, where Gods that seem all-powerful to mortals, feud with each other in an epic clash that span millennia. Due to circumstance or fate a mere mortal was ascended to their ranks and charged with the task of saving the balance of their existence. The story takes a unique approach to telling the history of a universe, covering the events and mythology from the perspective and outlook of those who think themselves highest, but in time find out the truth about a cycle that even they cannot control.
Chrilee Deseray
Born a mortal, Chrilee was abducted and ascended by force in order to make up for a dire mistake on behalf of the Four. Instead of showing gratefulness for the honor she received, she instead turned bitter and resentful to all around her. Now she serves as the Goddess and leader of the Light dragons in order to end the war tearing creation apart.
Sentrio Merlock
A mysterious god with a casual demeanor and an ageless appearance, even the Four seem to pay him deep respect. Assigned to train Chrilee for the upcoming war, he was the first to defeat Thoranax. Other than that fact, not much is known of the martial artist.
Turkin Wyrclaw
Born a child of rape, on his home world the young werebeast was all but killed on a daily basis for the crime of being born, until he was saved by an enigmatic figure. Sentrio not only rescued him, but convinced him to live and took him on as a student. Turkin now serves as his most devote disciple and best friend.
Byrd
One of the twin gods born to Gaia and Pyrolanis, his realm is that of Life, the Sun and Rebirth, and a Phoenix with a fiery quartz clenched in its talons is his symbol. Cocky and energetic, Byrd is a fierce warrior and was a passionate lover until the man he and his brother both coveted vanished.
Nakura
The second twin born to Gaia and Pyrolanis, Nakura is silent and reserved with an unspoken gentle demeanor. His realm is that of Nature, the Cycle and Death, and his job is to tend the Sanctuary of Souls, an enormous garden that serves as the afterlife. It is said that none have heard him speak since the lover he and his brother shared vanished.
Kinzo
Bearing no solid form of his own, Kinzo is a Shadow, a being that sustains itself by consuming the souls of his victims and possessing their flesh. Granted the realms of Evil, Fear and Mischief from his master, he is a chaotic god serving only one purpose, impeding his master's enemy.
Devion
The original Dragon God, Devion was a powerful prince and priest in Marenia's order before he was ascended. His task was to "end the war" raging between light and dark dragons that was tearing creation apart. After the ritual, he took the power to control the dragons and used it to forge an empire with the purpose of overthrowing and replacing the Four.
Chemilia
Once a Fae of the dream realms her desire for power led her to serve at Devion's side. He "gifted" her with power, using the Fae as a living experiment and warping her into a shape-shifting creature completely unlike her true form.
F'shon
No names or words have been created to describe this ancient darkness. None have seen him, even those that serve him have no idea what lurks beyond the thick mists.
Dragonwing was the first story we started that came into being from a random "what if" that took off in a rush that changed our lives. Over the years it has changed and evolved as we grew to have a better understanding of the characters and focuses more on their development and struggles. Here are a few fun tidbits that were changed-
* The "god form" of Sentrio was originally called Magnum.
* Sentrio was originally created to be a super hero.
* Chrilee and the Pantheon were taken from an AD&D 2nd edition campaign setting Io created.
* They first met in combat, which Chrilee almost lost until she used a spell Marenia gave her that ended up being a love spell.
* Kinzo was originally a big furry monster.
