The first solid design we completed for this site, and one that was used for several months before being scrapped. This particular design aimed for a mystic, artsy feel that we felt fit our stories. CSS was heavily used in this design, from the headings that doubled as image horizontal rules, to the mouse-over buttons that use no external scripting. In the end it was scrapped when we decided to combine our art, web design and stories all into one site instead of keeping them split.
